Country Specialist for Afghanistan, Pakistan, USGS

Karine Renaud is a physical scientist in the US Geological Survey. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Science, with a geology concentration, from George Mason University. She began her career at USGS working for the Paleoclimatology Department, and in 2010 joined Eastern Mineral and Environmental Resources as a contractor with Cherokee where she has worked on the non-fuel mineral assessment of Afghanistan. In 2013 Karine earned a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. She is specializing in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Solomon Islands.
